Albert Einstein famously said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Would you like to reach the next generation for Christ? Then we can’t just keep doing things the same way over and over. If we want to do a new thing like reaching the next generation for Christ, we have to do it in a new way.

That’s why Jesus said in Matthew 9 that new wine couldn’t be put into old wineskins. The old wineskins just won’t work because they’ll burst open and ruin the wine. No, Jesus said if you are going to make new wine, you have to put it into new wineskins.

So, while our Christian message should never change, we must pour our message into the new wineskins of new methods to reach new Christians. It might not look or sound like it did in your generation, but your generation has already been reached. Pull out those new wineskins to pass along the new life that is found in Jesus Christ!
