Jesus had lots of disciples, but there were 12 that he chose to be especially close to him. We read their names in Matthew 10:2-4, “…Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.”
Although these men came from different backgrounds, there is one common thread: they all were common people just like you and me. None were celebrities or scholars. None were experts or influencers. They were just regular, everyday common people.
And guess what: Jesus took those everyday, common people and turned the world upside down. Man, God loves to use common people to accomplish extraordinary things. And He would love to do that through you in this community. Will you let him?
Change begins in you!
