The leading cause of blindness in the world today is cataracts, which is the clouding of the eye’s lens. It’s kind of like looking out a dirty window. Eventually, the build up gets to be such that light can no longer get inside the eye, leaving the person blind.
But a simple procedure can remove cataracts and restore sight.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:22-23 we have to be mindful of our spiritual eyes, what you might call the eyes of our heart. Just like our physical eyes, if the eyes of our heart are bad, our heart will be blind and full of darkness. We will love things that God hates and hate things that God loves.
How do we fix that situation? We cry out to God to do surgery on the eyes of our heart so we’ll see rightly and love rightly. Has God fixed the eyes of your heart? He could do it today. Cry out to him in Jesus’ name.
Change begins in you!
