Are you a person of prayer? If you’re a Christian, you should be. But often we struggle with what to pray about. In Matthew 6:9, Jesus helps us out with a model prayer that’s often called the Lord’s prayer.
Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be your name; your kingdom come; your will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Jesus demonstrates lots of things to pray for. Pray for God’s name to be revered and praised. Pray for people to follow His leadership on earth. Pray that he would provide everything you need. Pray for the forgiveness of your sins and that you would withstand the temptation to sin further. And always finish by praising him for His glory.
Beloved, you’ve got a lot to pray for. Get to it!
Change begins in you!
