One thing is for sure, we live in a sexually permissive age. The hedonistic call of doing whatever feels good is the spirit of the age. Anything goes today.
While that may be the spirit of the age, is that wise? In light of what God has told us in Scripture, to just do whatever feels good is very unwise. There are things, plain and simple, that we should refrain from. The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 5 that “sexual immorality and all impurity… must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.”
The world may live under the lordship of the nerve endings in their body parts, but we as Christians have a different lord. While Christians are to fully enjoy the gift of sex from God, our sex is to come under the Lordship of Christ, which means it’s not anything goes.
Beloved, if God calls some form sex sinful, then it is, and we should completely refrain from it. Instead of living by the spirit of the age that says do whatever feels good, may we live by the Holy Spirit who says do whatever is holy. And in doing so, not only will your sex life be better, but your life in general be better.
Change begins in you!
