One of the toughest things in life is having to deal with a fool. It’s no fun at all. In fact, it can be dangerous even. Proverbs 17:12 says, “Let a man meet a she-bear robbed of her cubs rather than a fool in his folly.” Listen, there aren’t many things in this world more dangerous than a mama bear with cubs. She is typically incredibly aggressive in her attempt to protect her babies.

But, the Bible says that there’s at least one thing more dangerous than a mama bear, and that is a fool. It’s better to encounter a mama bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly.

Why are fools so dangerous? They have poor judgment and are often risky. They’re not smart and are ignorant of the consequences of their actions. They’re impulsive and unpredictable. They lack responsibility and can often influence others into unwise and even hazardous situations. And, they are prone to outbursts of anger, leading even to violence.

Fools are just plain dangerous. Don’t mess with them. Avoid them at all costs. So, if you see a mama bear, turn and run fast. But, if you see a fool, run even faster.
