CONNECT people to Christ and POUR into their lives His teaching so they'll OVERFLOW for the glory of God

Remember the Giants

Who are the spiritual giants in your life? Who are the ones who epitomize goodness and godliness in your eyes? Maybe a parent or grandparent, a friend or your spouse. Maybe some Christian celebrity that you have been blessed by and really look up to.

Well, if you were to ask a Jew back in Paul’s day, they would have likely had Father Abraham and King David near the top of their list. I mean, these guys were indeed spiritual giants. Abraham was THE patriarch of all Israel, the one whom God originally made covenant with to raise up a people for Himself on this earth. And David, he was the greatest king in the history of Israel. He was a mighty warrior, the Goliath-slayer. He was a man after God’s own heart, whom God chose to make a royal covenant with, saying that one of his descendants would sit on the throne of Israel forever. Both of these guys were spiritual giants!

But the Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 4 that even Father Abraham and King David did not put their hope in their own good works. No, they put their hope in God’s good grace, which is given to us by faith in God. As the Scripture says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” And David said, “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered.” Both of those men didn’t put their hope in themselves and their own good deeds. No, they put their hope in God’s grace, which comes to us through faith in God.

Beloved, put all of your hope and faith in God. It’ll not only change your today and tomorrow. It’ll change your forever.

Change begins in you!
