CONNECT people to Christ and POUR into their lives His teaching so they'll OVERFLOW for the glory of God

Leave No Room

You know, small things can often turn into big things. A small gas leak in your home doesn’t begin with an explosion. It starts quietly, a faint smell you learn to ignore. Left unchecked, that tiny leak can grow into something huge, leveling a house and taking lives with it.
Apostle Paul warns of a leak just as dangerous in 1 Timothy 5:11-15. He describes younger widows whose sensual desires, if left unaddressed, would draw them away from Christ toward idleness, gossip, and ruin. You see, unchecked sinful desire doesn’t stay contained. It spreads into wasted time, wandering words, and wrecked witness.
Paul’s counsel gives direction to these young widows, not just a diagnosis. What should they do with all of this idle time? Marry, manage a household, give the enemy no opportunity. In other words, fill their hands with godly purpose so sinful desires have no room to grow.
That’s not just a word to young widows, but to all Christians. Idle hands are the devil’s workshop. The gravity of your depravity will pull you toward sin. Therefore, you must proactively fill it with good and godly pursuits.
Don’t wait for the small leak to turn into an explosion. Leave no room for the devil!
Change begins in you!
