Do you want peace in your life? Then fill your life with God’s Word.
Apostle Paul connects these dots intentionally in Colossians 3. Let Christ’s peace rule your hearts (that’s v15), let Christ’s word dwell richly in you (that’s v16), and do everything in Jesus’ name (that’s v17). These aren’t separate commands. They’re one integrated life.
When God’s Word saturates your mind, peace guards your heart. Why? Because Scripture reminds you who’s really in control. It anchors your identity in Christ, not circumstances. It replaces anxiety with truth, fear with faith, bitterness with gratitude.
Apostle Paul says here that the word should dwell “richly.” This means more than a quick morning devotional. Let Scripture soak into your thoughts, your conversations, your decisions. Sing it. Teach it. Share it with others.
And here’s the beautiful result: when God’s Word fills you and His peace rules you, everything changes. Your work becomes worship. Your words carry weight. Your ordinary moments overflow with eternal significance. Every conversation, every task, every relationship—all done “in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Not for your glory, but His. Not by your strength, but His grace.
Beloved, a Word-filled life is a Christ-glorifying life and a peace-filled life. Go pursue that!
Change begins in you!
