Never Forget Where You Came From

Every believer has a “before” picture. Before grace found us, we were exactly what Apostle Paul describes in Titus 3:3, “foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures… hating one another.” That’s not someone else’s story. That’s ours.
Now, Paul doesn’t say this to shame us. He says it to shape us. Titus 3:1-2 calls believers to be “ready for every good work,” to “speak evil of no one,” and to show “perfect courtesy toward all people.” Why? Because verse 3 reminds us: we once walked in that same darkness.
Kindness toward the lost isn’t just being polite. It’s remembering where you came from and treating folks how you wish you’d been treated. When someone frustrates you with their rebellion or blindness, remember: grace didn’t wait for you to clean up first. It found you in the dark.
May we never speak down to anyone because God once spoke life into us despite our disobedience.
Change begins in you!
