What if the richest people you know are actually broke?
Apostle Paul teaches an important lesson on wealth in 1 Timothy 6:17-19. He says that the wealthy shouldn’t be arrogant or trust in “uncertain riches” because money is a shaky foundation. It can vanish overnight. It can’t buy peace or purpose or a single extra breath.
Instead, Paul gives a better strategy: be rich in good works, generous, ready to share. Why? Because that’s how you “lay up treasure” that actually lasts, storing up “a good foundation for the time to come.”
Here’s the truth: every dollar you hold is an investment in your future. You can invest it in things that rot, rust, or get repossessed, or you can invest it in people, in the gospel, in what echoes into eternity.
Your bank account will one day be closed, but your eternal account never will. So don’t just manage your money. Use it as a means to lay hold of what is truly life.
Change begins in you!
