CONNECT people to Christ and POUR into their lives His teaching so they'll OVERFLOW for the glory of God

Because Sin Was Already There

Have you thought about the role CT scans, MRI’s, and PET scans play in the life of a person with cancer? When a person has one of those procedures, the result might be that they have cancer. But it’s important to note that those procedures don’t cause cancer. They reveal cancer. The disease was already there. The scan just brings it into the light so something can actually be done about it.
Well, Apostle Paul in Galatians 3 says that’s exactly what the law does with sin.
Paul answers a question people were already asking: if faith in Christ is the answer, why did God give the law at all? Was it a mistake? A detour? No. Paul says, “It was added because of transgressions.” In other words, it was added because sin already existed. You see, the law was never designed to save anyone. It was designed to show us what we’re actually dealing with.
And what are we dealing with? A problem too big to fix ourselves.
The law exposes our sin, but it has no power to remove it. It can diagnose, but it cannot cure. It points a finger, but cannot lift a burden. Scripture makes it plain: everything has been imprisoned under sin, so that the promise could be given to those who believe.
And that’s not bad news. That’s the setup for the best news imaginable.
You were never going to law-keep your way out of this. The diagnosis was always meant to drive you to the doctor with the cure, who is Christ. And Christ doesn’t just treat the symptoms—He rescues us completely.
Beloved, stop trying to cure what only He can heal.
Change begins in you!
