Wednesday Is for Worship: “The Glory of It All”

Wednesday Is for Worship

Worship of God is one of the greatest joys offered to us.  It’s what we were made for and where are souls find completeness.  However, worship of God is not just a joy offered to us.  It’s also an act commanded of us, as Psalm 100 so beautifully captures:

1 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. 3 Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.

Today’s song offering here at Wednesday Is for Worship will help you joyfully meet this commandment.

“The Glory of It All” by David Crowder*Band was released on their 2007 album “Remedy.”  It’s a song of hope founded upon the presence and work of God.  He was there in the beginning and will be in the end.  In our sin, there is forgiveness.  In our darkness, there light.  In our wreck, there is repair and rescue.  There is great hope in God!

He gloriously came that we may live for His glory!  One of the ways you can fulfill that purpose today is by lifting your voice in praise to Him along with David and the band.

At the start
He was there
He was there
In the end
He’ll be there
He’ll be there
And after all
Our hands have wrought
He forgives

Oh, the glory of it all
Is He came here
For the rescue of us all
That we may live
For the glory of it all
Oh, the glory of it all

All is lost
Find Him there
Find Him there
After night
Dawn is there
Dawn is there
And after all
Falls apart
He repairs
He repairs

Oh, He is here
With redemption from the fall
That we may live
For the glory of it all
Oh, the glory of it all

After night
Comes a light
Dawn is here
Dawn is here
It’s a new day, a new day
Oh, everything will change
Things will never be the same
We will never be the same

Oh, everything will change
Things will never be the same
We will never be same
