When God called Abram in Genesis 12, he wasn’t even Abraham yet, and God didn’t give him a GPS route or a detailed itinerary. He simply said, “Go to the land I will show you.” Notice what’s missing? The destination. The timeline. The specifics.
Yet Abram went.
At seventy-five years old, he packed up everything—his wife, his nephew, his possessions—and headed into the unknown. He had a promise but not a map. He had God’s word but not all the answers.
How often do we wait for complete clarity before we obey? We want to see the whole route before taking the first step. We want guarantees, backup plans, and risk-free options. But faith doesn’t work that way.
God’s call to Abram reveals something profound about how He works: He gives us enough light for the next step, not the whole journey. He invites us into relationship, not just information transfer. The journey with God is about trust, not certainty.
What is God calling you toward today? Maybe it’s a career change, a difficult conversation, a ministry opportunity, or simply a step across the street to bless your neighbr. You don’t have all the answers—and that’s okay. Abram didn’t either.
Faith means moving forward with what we know of God, not waiting until we know everything about the path. God isn’t asking you to see the destination. He’s asking you to trust the Guide.
So go. Step out. The God who called Abram is calling you too, and He will be with you through it all
Change begins in you!
