CONNECT people to Christ and POUR into their lives His teaching so they'll OVERFLOW for the glory of God

Ordinary Men, Extraordinary Mission

What qualifies you to do great things? Your resumé? Your education? Your status?
Look at who Jesus chose. In Mark 3, he goes up on the mountain and appoints twelve men. Four were fishermen: Simon Peter, Andrew, James, and John. They smelled like fish and had calloused hands from working. One was Matthew, a tax collector his neighbors despised. Another was Simon the Zealot, a political radical. The rest are barely mentioned: Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, James, Thaddaeus. Even Judas, who would betray Jesus to the cross, is on the list. No scholars. No religious leaders. No celebrities. All ordinary men.
Why? Mark 3:14 says Jesus appointed them “so that they might be with him.” Their qualification wasn’t talent. It was their willingness to be with and follow Jesus. Jesus loves to take ordinary people and do extraordinary things and still does so today. He still calls the unlikely and the ordinary. Your skills, your experience, your name—none of it qualifies you. A willingness to be with Jesus and follow Him is all you need to do extraordinary things through Him.
Change begins in you!
