CONNECT people to Christ and POUR into their lives His teaching so they'll OVERFLOW for the glory of God

Leave the Old You Buried

There’s a version of you that died on the cross. But we keep bringing him back to life.
Apostle Paul says it plainly in Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ.” Not wounded. Not reformed. Crucified. The self that demanded its own way, that clawed to get ahead, that kept a record of wrongs and a resumé of rights, that self was nailed there with Jesus and died.
So what does that mean on a typical morning?
It means the old you who ran on guilt, pride, and self-preservation has been replaced. Paul isn’t describing a better version of himself. He’s describing a different driver entirely—Christ in him. Not helping him. Not coaching him. Living in him.
It means Christ now sets the agenda for your life. It’s no longer your fears or your failures or your need to have an experience or to express yourself. No, His agenda is your agenda. And His life lives itself out through yours. You’re not managing your reputation before God. You’re resting in the Son’s.
The life you now live, you live by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave Himself for you. Beloved, that’s not a motivational phrase. That’s a new operating system for a new life. Leave the old you buried.
Change begins in you!
