The Burj Khalifa is a building in Dubai that stands over 2,700 feet tall. It’s so high it pierces the clouds. From what I hear, standing at its base, you can barely see the top. It’s the tallest building on earth and is almost incomprehensible.
Now imagine stacking next to that building every sin you’ve ever committed—every failure, every shame, every secret. The truth is, your stack would go even taller than that building.
But here’s what God wants you to know in 1 Timothy 1: God’s grace is still taller. It doesn’t just reach the height of your sin. It completely covers it, every last inch. And God’s grace isn’t just taller. It’s also deeper, wider, and longer.
Apostle Paul, who wrote this book of the Bible, should know. He called himself the worst sinner who ever lived. He was a man who blasphemed Christ, persecuted believers, and did it violently. If anyone was beyond grace’s reach, it was him. But grace reached him anyways, overwhelmingly, abundantly, personally, triumphantly.
And it will reach you too. Your past doesn’t disqualify you from grace. No, it actually qualifies you for grace, the kind of grace Paul described here: overflowing, excessive, more than enough.
No sin is taller than grace, not even yours. Run to Christ where you’ll find overabundant grace. He came to save sinners just like you and just like me!
Change begins in you!
