Do you remember what it felt like before you met Jesus? That gnawing sense that something was missing? You tried filling it with all sorts of things: success, relationships, achievements, pleasures, distractions—but the emptiness always came back. You were searching for something you couldn’t name.
That’s because you were made for fullness, and only God can provide it.
Apostle Paul writes that “in Christ all the fullness of deity dwells bodily” (Col 2:9-10). Translation? Everything God is—His love, power, wisdom, presence—lives completely in Jesus. And then Paul turns from Christ to us: “And you have been filled in Him.” You see, Jesus’s fullness leads to our fullness.
Not partially filled. Not working toward fullness. Filled. Complete. Up to the brim and overflowing.
When you’re in Christ, you have everything you need because you have Him. You’re not lacking anything spiritually. You don’t need another program, another experience, another achievement to make you whole.
Beloved, this changes everything. That restless striving? You can let it go. That fear that you’re missing out? It’s unfounded. That pressure to be more or do more to earn God’s approval? It’s gone.
You’re full. You’re full because Christ is in you. He is full, and that same fullness now lives in you. You’re not empty anymore. You’re not incomplete. There’s not a hole in you. You are whole.
In Christ, you have it all… because you have Him. May you live out of that fullness.
Change begins in you!
